Does Low-field NMR have radiation damage

Does Low-field NMR have radiation damage

No, it has no radiation damage. NMR is different with X line and CT in principle. X line and CT all need the X radial, which is the source of the man-made radiation damage. The principle of NMR is to give a RF pulse to excite H proton in high magnetic field to cause the NMR signals. It won’t produce high energy radial, thus no radiation damage.Low field NMR instruments’ magnetic field is lower than 0.5T. Niumag’s magnet has thicken iron shield and special made magnet cabinet. It prevents the magnet field disseminating, the magnet field and excited electromagnetic wave is limited to the magnet cabinet, so it is very safe.
